Born and raised in Palo Alto, CA, Josh studied Human Biology and Drama at Stanford University. He has since trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade, the Lee Strasberg Institute, and Beverly Hills Playhouse. He had a recurring role on the Golden Globe-nominated HBO comedy SILICON VALLEY, and has recent credits on TRUE DETECTIVE, JANE THE VIRGIN, HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, and MACGYVER. Most recently, he guest starred on 9-1-1.

In film, Josh starred in TOUCH, a short film directed by Lulu Wang, which won at the Film Independent Festival and was screened at the Palm Springs Film Festival. It was also Best Film Finalist at the NBC-Universal Short Film Festival, where Josh was honored the Best Actor award. Additionally, he has appeared in various national commercials. Josh is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, and tries to spend a few weeks a year in Taiwan, where his parents are from. 


Fun fact: Josh is a HUGE soccer fan; his dad had season tickets to the San Jose Earthquakes when he was growing up and Josh fell in love with the sport, playing throughout his childhood through college.
